Water Management
Model decision making for dike and water supplies
THE CONTRACTOR: A water board that is responsible for water management, including dike monitoring.
THE CHALLENGE: How do you involve residents in important decision-making about adjustments to dike facilities and other waterworks in such a way that a quick assessment can be made between individual and collective interests?
THE PROCESS: A team of excellent students with relevant study backgrounds and personal qualities is put together for each question. Our Creativity Pool team of selected students began by conducting a comprehensive context analysis consisting of research using analytical tools such as qualitative and root cause models.
THE RESULT: Some important outcomes were: to involve the residents involved earlier, to respond to existing communities and to use a new framework for more effective decision-making.
